Scheduled Power NEW 🔥

$0.7 one-time payment, lifetime use

Your old Mac doesn't need to run 24/7. Set scheduled power on/off and on-demand wake. Auto-start when needed, auto-shutdown when idle. Save power, save hardware, save money.

🔧 Technical Details

Scheduled Power uses macOS built-in pmset power management commands, managed through a launchd daemon. Users edit a config file to set shutdown/wake times, and the system automatically applies the power schedule. Supports on-demand wake port listening — any device on your LAN can send an HTTP request to wake the Mac remotely. All logs saved to ~/.mars-toolkit/logs/scheduled-power.log.

❓ FAQ

Does scheduled startup work when the Mac is shut down?
Yes. macOS Wake on Schedule works even when the Mac is fully shut down or in deep sleep. The BIOS/RTC handles the wake signal. As long as the Mac is plugged in, the scheduled wake will work reliably.
Does daily power cycling damage the hardware?
On the contrary — running 24/7 accelerates hardware aging. A reasonable power cycle schedule gives components time to rest, actually extending the lifespan. Servers don't need to be on all the time; on when needed, off when idle is the most economical approach.
Can I wake the Mac remotely from outside my home?
By default it works on the local network. Combined with a tunnel tool (like cpolar) or VPN (like Ocean VPN), you can send wake requests from anywhere. We recommend pairing with Tunnel Guardian for stable tunnel connections.
